Mahinmi Happy with Limited Role

It was one of the least noticeable numbers in the box score, one few people would look at twice if they looked at all. But it's a number with potential long-term ramifications for the Pacers.

That number is four, and no, we're not talking about the power forward position and Paul George's dedication to it. It's the number of field goal attempts Ian Mahinmi attempted in the Pacers' 97-92 preseason victory over Orlando Thursday. It also happens to be the number of field goals he made.

The storyline here is that Mahinmi is perfectly fine with limited shot attempts, which bodes well for the Pacers and their new spread offense –providing, of course, they can shoot better from the 3-point line than they did against the Magic (7-of-29).
