ST. LOUIS – Illinois State's Derrius Rodgers has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday by the Valley.
Rodgers had standout performances at the Terre Haute Double Dual, as he won back-to-back events. In the men's 60-meter dash, Rodgers came out strong winning the preliminary round at a time of 6.74, which beat the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Fieldhouse record. His time is leading the Missouri Valley Conference and is ranked fourth on ISU's all-time best list. He went on winning the event at a time of 6.
