URBANA, Ill. – On a cold and windy day at the par-72 Stone Creek Golf Club, Bradley Men's Golf fell to 13th-ranked Illinois 5-2 in an 18-hole medal match play event.
The Braves played their first team duel match since taking on Jacksonville in March 2014 with Saturday's medal match play event marking the team's final competition heading into the Missouri Valley Conference Championship later this month.
Each of the seven pairings played out each hole with a point awarded to the team that had the best round score in each group.
The Braves had the early lead as junior Branden Mounce topped Illinois freshman Varun Chopra in the first group.
