NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State gymnastics team posted a season-high team score of 194.350 last weekend and as a result two of its gymnasts were honored for their performances in that meet, as freshman Angelica Labat and senior Gabrielle Cooke earned Midwest Independent Conference weekly honors Wednesday.
For the fourth time this season, Labat was honored by the Midwest Independent Conference this time as the league's Gymnast of the Week. She has twice been given Performance of the Week honors and earned Newcomer of the Week honors thanks to her effort her against Northern Illinois earlier this season.
