Keene Named CoSIDA Academic All-American

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State's Jaelyn Keene was named an Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced Thursday. Keene was a second-team selection.

A junior middle blocker from Jacksonville, Illinois, Keene was recognized as Illinois State volleyball's first Academic All-American since Kristi Geary earned the honor in 1997.

With only 18 Division I players earning Academic All-America honors, spread among three teams, Keene was one of only five players with a grade-point average (GPA) of 4.00 or better. Keene boasts a perfect 4.
