Suffering from wrist and neck problems, Bello was limited in his snaps in last week’s loss at South Dakota and will continue to be held out of certain situations.
“He’s got a torn ligament in his (left) wrist,” ISU coach Brock Spack said, “and a nerve issue with his neck. Those are very painful.”
Wearing a cast on his wrist, Bello played mostly in passing situations against the Coyotes and recorded two solo tackles.
“We’re using him in substitution packages, trying to keep him healthy,” said Spack. “It’s hard for him to make contact with the shoulder.
