Illinois State's Jaelyn Keene has been selected to play for a team of U.S. college volleyball players competing in the European Global Challenge next month in Pula, Croatia.
The team's 12-day trip, which begins July 5, includes three matches in advance of the tournament and will visit five European countries, including a sightseeing tour of Venice Italy.
“This is a great opportunity, and I could not be more excited to play the sport I love and be able to travel around Europe for the first time," said Keene. "I have never traveled outside of the United States so this will be an awesome adventure.
