Illinois State's Jordan de los Reyes has been named the Missouri Valley Conference softball Player of the Week for the second week in a row.
The senior catcher became ISU's career home run leader last week by boosting her total to 54, four shy of the conference record. De los Reyes hit a home run in each of her games last week, recording a 2.375 slugging percentage.
She went 6-for-8 with 14 RBI on five extra-base hits and three sacrifice flies. She upped her season RBI total to 66, surpassing ISU's previous RBI record by 10.
The league-leading Redbirds begin a three-game series Saturday at Wichita State.
