An offensive outburst in the third inning of both games propelled the Illinois Wesleyan softball team to a doubleheader win over Lake Forest on Sunday afternoon at the IWU Softball Field.
IWU took advantage of four walks, a hit batsman and a Lake Forest error to plate six runs in the third inning of the opener to score an 8-3 win. They also won by an identical 8-3 score in the nightcap, after rallying for five runs in the third frame.
Maggie Graham had two hits, including a triple and three RBIs for the Titans in the opening game win.
