Bradley men’s basketball player Luuk van Bree on Monday was named Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week.
The freshman forward averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals as the Braves split a pair of conference games. He shot 52.4 percent from the field as the Braves lost at Missouri State 77-71 and defeated Indiana State 63-58 at Carver Arena.
