VALPARAISO, Ind.– The Braves propelled for a monstrous fifth inning, to take game one of the three game series at Valpo on Friday night.

Valparaiso got out to an early lead, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding a fourth in the third to go up 4-0 on the Braves.
The Braves found the bats in the fifth inning, exploding for 7 runs. Bailey Sample led the charge with an RBI single to score Lauren DeRolf, following a lead-off triple.
Sydney Kennedy re-entered the game as a pinch hitter, with the bases loaded and sailed a grand slam for the Braves to put the Braves up 5-4.
