An hour before tipoff and there was no denying Wednesday felt like it could be a very special night inside the State Farm Center.
Notre Dame, a 32-game winner last season, was in town for the Big Ten-ACC Challenge. The arena was open to the public for the first time since last March, all dressed up for a national television audience to see the most dramatic stage of its lengthy renovation.
