For Illinois fans, the past 30 days couldn’t have ended soon enough. With the calendar flipped to December now and the grand unveiling of State Farm Center a day away, a look back at 10 forgettable moments from the month that was:

Nov. 9
In an awkward press conference, interim chancellor Barbara Wilson praises the job Mike Thomas while announcing the firing of the Illinois athletic director at the same time, ending Thomas’ tenure leading the Illinois athletic department after 51 months.

The same day Thomas is fired, the full report from Chicago law firm Franczek Radelet is released into the Illinois football program is released, saying former coach Tim Beckman called players “sissy” or “soft” when they left practice to seek medical treatment and told four players to release their scholarships when they didn’t have to.
