No. 4: Geronimo Allison, WR
Why he’s important: Injuries struck this group particularly hard toward the tail end of spring practice. Mikey Dudek, Malik Turner and Zach Grant all suffered a variety of ailments, with Dudek’s torn ACL the most significant. Then, Justin Hardee hurt his foot this summer, with his start of the season possibly delayed until Big Ten play begins. Throughout all this, Allison has managed to stay healthy, although Tim Beckman is probably knocking on wood as he reads this.
Hard to believe Allison is entering his final season with the Illini considering he was part of the 2014 class.
