BOSTON — Former Illinois wheelchair athlete Tatyana McFadden won her third straight Boston Marathon this morning.

That makes 12 major marathon crowns for McFadden, who's also won 10 Paralympic medals.
McFadden, who graduated from the UI in 2013, has been a dominant force on the wheelchair scene. She has work to do to catch another Illini great, Jean Driscoll, who won eight Boston Marathon titles.
