Vandals Win in Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – A huge defensive stand, including holding the Fighting Hawks scoreless over the last 5:42 of action, lifted Idaho (3-4) over North Dakota (4-4), 67-54, on Saturday afternoon.

THE GAME

The Fighting Hawks jumped out to a 7-2 lead early before back-to-back 3's from Cameron Tyson and Trevon Allen gave the Vandals the 8-7 advantaged. UND was able to take back over from there, eventually getting up by as many as eight in the half. But Idaho close well, cutting the deficit to just two at the half, 28-26.
