FARMINGTON, Utah - The fourth edition of the 2024 Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week have been announced. Mia Sylvester, following her record-breaking weight throw performance at the Inland Northwest Invitational, is the Women's Field Athlete of the Week. Sylvester is the second consecutive Idaho woman to earn Field Athlete of the Week honors.
The sophomore broke a 21-year Idaho record and secured her second gold medal of the year on Saturday at The Podium in Spokane, Washington. In her second attempt, Sylvester hit 18.77m, besting Aloha Santiago's 18.
