Hull star Ryan Mason admits he clearly remembers the moment he fractured his skull against Chelsea and reveals he received advice from Petr Cech

Ryan Mason has spoken for the first time about realising his life was in danger after he fractured his skull playing for Hull against Chelsea in January.

The former Tottenham midfielder has returned to training this week but is not yet nearing a first-team return as he takes his time over the recovery period.

The 25-year-old appeared 16 times in the league for the Tigers after joining for a club record fee from Spurs before suffering the career-threatening incident.

And Mason has revealed that he remembers well the moment he clashed heads with Gary Cahill in the first half of the 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
