Hull City fail to get Tom Huddlestone red card against Everton overturned

Hull City have announced that they have had their appeal against the red card shown to Tom Huddlestone during Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Everton rejected by the Football Association.

Huddlestone, 30, was sent off by referee Paul Tierney after 73 minutes in the Premier League clash at Goodison Park for a foul on Idrissa Gueye. The score at the time of the midfielder's dismissal was 1-0 to Everton, with the home side going on to score three more goals late on.

Hull launched an appeal against the sending off on Tuesday, but revealed later in the day that they had failed to get the red card overturned.
