The Houston Texans appear to be chasing a number of potential weapons for young quarterback C.J. Stroud ahead of the 2024 season, but one of the presumed top free agents won't be hitting the market at all.

Veteran wide receiver Mike Evans reportedly agreed to a two-year, $52 million contract extension with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers early Monday morning. Evans, a Galveston native and Texas A&M product, stood among the top free-agent wide receivers and running backs available, and his return to Tampa now trims the group of potential additions for Houston.
