Texans' two-year deal for Chris Clark worth $6 million

Although the Texans were unable to retain center Ben Jones as he joined the Tennessee Titans on a four-year deal, they did hold onto offensive tackle Chris Clark on reasonable terms.

Clark is signing a two-year, $6 million contract, according to sources not authorized to speak publicly.

The Texans held onto Clark as several NFL teams were pursuing him as a swing tackle.

The Texans kept Clark on a new contract after trading a seventh-round draft pick to the Denver Broncos last year to acquire him.

Clark, 30, is a valuable blocker, especially with Pro Bowl alternate left tackle Duane Brown tearing his quadriceps tendon at the end of last season.
