Texans tight end Jordan Thomas gaining confidence

As a rookie, Texans tight end Jordan Thomas dealt with the complexities of the NFL and the life element of adapting to living in a big city.

Thomas, a native of Sumrall, Miss. (population 1,748), adjusted quickly, catching 20 passes for 215 yards and four touchdowns on 27 targets.

As a rookie, Thomas tied retired Texans great Andre Johnson for the second-most touchdown catches by a rookie in franchise history. Thomas tied Mychal Rivera and Clarence Moore for the second-most touchdown catches by a rookie selected in the sixth round or later since 1991.

The 6-5, 280-pounder played in every game and improved as a blocker throughout the season.
