Texans taking long look at quarterbacks in NFL draft

Calmly firing off accurate spirals with the smooth delivery and poise of a quarterback unfazed by the relative chaos that surrounds an NFL line of scrimmage, Dak Prescott was an unusually precocious rookie for the Dallas Cowboys.

As the replacement for injured veteran Tony Romo, Prescott defied the traditional refrains about rookies being unprepared for the complexity of running a professional offense. Prescott primarily operated out of the shotgun fomration as a dual-threat quarterback at Mississippi State.

As the Cowboys' newly-minted starter, Prescott adeptly read defenses with a rapidly growing acumen. He was accurate throwing out of the pocket, or on the move.
