HOUSTON -- Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt donated $10,000 to a family who was involved in a highway crash near Madison, Wisconsin.

Last Sunday, Jenni Steiner and Kirk U’Ren were hit by a car on Highway 30. U'ren died at the site of the crash, and Steiner was in critical condition. They have one-year-old twin sons.

Watt left a comment with the donation, saying, "This is terrible news to hear. Kirk was a big help to our foundation in the early years and was always so energetic and upbeat. My thoughts are with Jenni and the whole family, and if there is any way that I can help, please let me know.
