Texans, Chris Clark agree to new deal

The Texans have reached an agreement on a new contract with offensive tackle Chris Clark.

Clark (6-5, 305), who was acquired in a trade with Denver in August, did a sound job as the swing tackle last season when the Texans finished 9-7 and won the AFC South. Because of injuries, he started two games at left tackle and two games at right tackle.

Clark, 30, enters his seventh season. He's the third tackle behind Duane Brown and Derek Newton.

The Texans are still expected to draft an offensive tackle to develop. Brown, 30, is still recovering from surgery to repair a torn quad tendon.
