On Tuesday, the Houston Texans had a preview of the new food coming to NRG Stadium this fall.
Highlights included short rib nachos: potato chips topped with smoked short rib, blue cheese, barbecue sauce and chives.
There are a lot of barbecue options, including Killen’s Famous Brisket Stak, which is waffle fries topped with cheese, smoked brisket, sour cream and green onions. There are also Killen’s smoked turkey or brisket sandwiches, and baked potatoes topped with chili, cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream and jalapenos.
For less typical stadium food, there are Korean fried chicken tacos (fried, corn tortilla coated chicken stripes in a Korean chili sauce, topped with pickled cucumbers, toasted sesame seeds and scallions), and smoked meatballs and pimento cheese grits.
