Lamar runner Kade Harrington to work out for Texans

Lamar running back Kade Harrington has been invited to the Texans' local prospect workout, according to a source not authorized to speak publicly.

The workout for local high school and college players is set for April 8 at the Texans' training facility.
Harrington has an official visit with the New York Giants. Teams are allowed 30 official visits to draft prospects.

Harrington played at Kingwood High School and is Lamar's all-time leading rusher.

Harrington is a versatile 5-9, 190-pound runner who was an All-Southland Conference selection and Player of the Year. A former freshman All-American, Harrington missed the final five games of the season due to partially torn ligaments in his foot.
