Former UH star Simon Fletcher inducted into Broncos' Ring of Fame

The Denver Broncos inducted former University of Houston star Simon Fletcher into their Ring of Fame on Monday night along with safety John Lynch and kicker Jason Elam.

Fletcher is a Bay City native who's the Broncos' all-time sack leader with 97 1/2, never missing any games except for three replacement games during the 1987 strike in 11 NFL seasons. He played from 1985 to 1995, appearing in 172 consecutive games in an impressive streak of durability.

At 6-5, 240 pounds, Fletcher was known for his speed as a pass rusher.

From 1989 to 1993, he posted 12 sacks, 11 sacks, 13 1/2 sacks, 16 sacks and 13 1/2 sacks.
