Ex-Texans cornerback Darryl Morris signs with Jets

Former Texans cornerback Darryl Morris signed with the New York Jets on Thursday, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.

Morris was a restricted free agent the Texans opted to not tender, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Morris played two seasons for the Texans and one for the San Francisco 49ers, recording 39 career tackles and one interception.

Morris had eight tackles on defense last season with seven tackles on special teams.

In 11 games with one start in 2014, Morris had 30 tackles and one interception with six passes defended and one tackle for a loss.
