Massive Texans rookie nose tackle D.J. Reader was challenged in an aspect of football that's typically foreign to a 6-3, 333-pound lineman.

He was asked to catch a punt. If Reader caught the punt, practice would end early.

Much to his teammates' delight, Reader smoothly gathered in the football and practice was halted.

Afterward, Reader was congratulated on Twitter by veteran wide receiver Cecil Shorts.

"S/O to @raviddeader for catching that punt!!!!" Shorts wrote. "Camp is broken!"

Texans coach Bill O'Brien was asked why he chose Reader, a fifth-round draft pick who also played baseball at Clemson, for the task of catching a punt.
