C.J. Stroud's agency urges players to refuse pre-draft 'cognitive testing'

Athletes First, the NFL player agency representing Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, is urging its NFL Draft prospects to not participate in "any cognitive or psychological testing during the pre-draft process," according to The Athletic's Kalyn Kahler.

The initiative from Athletes First comes after a pre-draft controversy of sorts involving Stroud prior to the 2023 NFL Draft. Stroud reportedly scored an 18 out of 100 on the "S2" cognitive test, a notably low score on a diagnostic that is "touted for its ability to measure a player’s cognitive ability — specifically, quarterbacks," per Kahler.
