A little less than four months ago, we learned that Andre Hal, a starting safety for your Houston Texans, had been diagnosed with lymphoma. Hal, drafted in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft, had defied the odds to become a key member of the Texans’ defense and had signed a four-year contract extension just a year ago. He pledged that, like David Quessenberry before him, he too would beat cancer.
Hal is a man of his word, as today it was announced that his lymphoma is in remission.
