The Houston Rockets received some good news today. Amen Thompson is one step closer to making his return to an NBA court when the team announced this morning that they are assigning him to the Rockets’ G League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
The Rockets have assigned Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore while transferring Nate Hinton and Jermaine Samuels Jr. to their NBA G League affiliate, Rio Grande Valley.
Udoka told me that Amen would spend some time rehabbing with the Vipers before returning to the Rockets.
