The 6'7" rookie didn't earn much acclaim in the 2023 portion of the season as he missed 15 games with an ankle injury, then earned only sporadic minutes. His role continues to rise of late. Thompson is averaging 29.6 minutes per game in February, and while his offensive polish remains a work in progress, Thompson is a legitimately elite athlete who reads the game with an advanced level on the defensive end.
