NBA fines Rockets' Leslie Alexander $100,000 for confrontation with referee

Rockets owner Leslie Alexander was fined $100,000 by the NBA for confronting a referee in Tuesday's Game 5 between Houston and Oklahoma City.

Alexander left his courtside seat in the first quarter and said something to referee Billy Kennedy.

All Alexander would say after the game was that he was "upset."

The NBA declined a request to have a pool reporter speak with the referee on Tuesday night.

The interaction occurred with 0:13 remaining in the first quarter of the Rockets' 105-99 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 25 at Toyota Center.

After the game, Rockets guard James Harden, who didn't see Alexander get up, said he was surprised because Alexander "is one of the coolest guys" but said he would have been happy to help out.
