Houston Dash midfielders Carli Lloyd and Morgan Brian, as well as goalkeeper Jane Campbell, have been selected by U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Jill Ellis for the 2017 Tournament of Nations. The 23-player roster was released this morning by U.S. Soccer.
The two-time reigning FIFA Women’s Player of the Year has scored 97 goals in 239 games for the USWNT and is three goals away from becoming the sixth player in U.S. history to score 100 international goals. Since returning from Manchester City Women, Lloyd has scored one goal in five appearances for Houston, which is currently on a five-game unbeaten streak.
