Sunday was the final day of the MLS regular season. Dubbed Decision Day all ten games kicked off at the same time. Houston went into the game against the Rapids looking to avoid winning the Wooden Spoon while Colorado was hoping to win the Supporters’ Shield. The Rapids were also looking to go unbeaten at home for the 2016 season.
Houston’s Andrew Wenger put the men in orange on the board in the 20th minute of the game. Mauro Manotas crossed the ball into the box but Tim Howard got a hand on it to keep it out.
