UH will head to San Marcos looking for their first road win against the Texas State University Bobcats Saturday.
The Bobcats lead the all-time series 4-2, although the Cougars won the most recent meeting between the teams in last year’s 59-14 thrashing at TDECU Stadium.
During the game last year, then-junior quarterback Greg Ward Jr. scored on six separate occasions, as he threw for four touchdowns and ran for two. Ward combined for 365 all-purpose yards and had an 81 percent completion rate.
Wide receiver Demarcus Ayers caught eight passes and went for 126 yards and two touchdowns.
