McCullers struggles as Astros drop opener against Padres, 4-3

The red hot Astros looked to extend their winning streak as they kicked off a series with the Padres.

The offense wasted no time picking up where they left off in Colorado. George Springer led off the game with a double. Altuve followed with a single and then Correa added a single scoring Springer to put the Astros on the board. They loaded the bases eventually but couldn’t pickup any other runs in the first.

Lance McCullers got the start for the Astros but ran into a bit of trouble in the first. Hosmer doubled with two outs and then scored on a Machado RBI single.
