Long ball plagues Dallas Keuchel as Orioles rally past Astros in series opener

BALTIMORE — Dallas Keuchel allowed more home runs Monday than he had in nine previous starts in a 4-3 Astros loss to the Orioles on a beautiful Memorial Day afternoon at Camden Yards.

Keuchel gave up a two-run shot to Steve Pearce with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, turning over a 3-2 Astros lead. Delmon Young singled ahead of Pearce, who nearly homered in the second inning as well.

Keuchel started the inning in a typical groove, with 10 straight retired following a Jimmy Paredes double play. (Yes, that’s the same Paredes who was a former Astros player.
