Holy moly. This may be one of the best Midsummer’s Classic weeks in recent memory. There was a crazy competitive Home Run Derby. However, the All-Star game was even more exciting. It was a slugfest with ten homers blasted on the night.
Scooter Gennett of the Reds took one deep in the ninth inning to tie it up and send it to extras. Fortunately, for the rest of the AL, the Houston Astros were coming.
The tenth inning had several shades of the 2017 World Series as well. Ross Stripling of the Dodgers took the mound.
