HOUSTON -- In a surprising move, Alex Bregman returned to action in the bottom of the sixth inning of Tuesday's game against the Mariners and made an immediate impact, hitting a game-tying RBI single in his first career appearance as a pinch-hitter.
Bregman, who was recovering from a hamstring injury that had sidelined him for two weeks, wasn't listed among the available players for Tuesday's game, but made his return and sent Felix Hernandez's 80.8 mph curveball into shallow center field to bring home Yulieski Gurriel and tie the game at 4.
