Astros rookie Preston Tucker dealing with right triceps contusion after beanball Tuesday

ARLINGTON — Rookie outfielder Preston Tucker exited with a right triceps contusion in the eighth inning Tuesday night. He suffered the injury when Rangers starter Yovani Gallardo hit him with a pitch to lead off the second inning.

“It was weird,” he said. “I got hit and it just went numb. It felt like my arm was asleep and I really couldn’t feel it. After the double play (on Evan Gattis’ subsequent grounder) I went back there and tried to stretch it out and it just wouldn’t get better.

“They told me it was going to tighten up throughout the game.
