Rookie outfielder Preston Tucker was inserted back in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Mariners after he was recalled from Class AAA Fresno.
Tucker had been in the majors from May 7 until he was demoted on Aug. 22 in part because he had minor-league options.
“I think I was down there for a reason kind of to improve my game and give us a shot to win in September,” he said. “I think I did that. I think I kind of cleaned up some things I needed to work on. To be up here and help the team was huge for me too.
