Samuel Deduno was placed on the 15-Day disabled list retroactively of May 14 due to back strain. It appears he has a new problem has arisen with Deduno after his rehab start on Friday. He left his appearance with Triple A Fresno after just one inning. Deduno gave up one run on four walks and struck out two in his one inning of work. He was expected to pitch two inning.
The Houston Chronicle's Jose de Jesus Ortiz is reporting the Astros are shutting down Deduno. What that exactly means isn't clear, will we see Deduno in week?
