Warriors rebound on the road with 82-61 win at Cal Poly

Noah Allen scored 30 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Gibson Johnson had 14 points and six rebounds, and Jack Purchase added 13 points and eight rebounds to lead the University of Hawai’i basketball team to a convincing 82-61 road victory over Cal Poly on Saturday night at San Luis Obispo, Calif.

The Warriors ended a two-game losing streak and improved to 13-13 overall and 7-6 in the Big West Conference. The Mustangs dropped to 8-18 and 3-9, including two losses to Hawai’i.

Allen, who was coming off a six-point performance in an upset loss at last-place UC Santa Barbara on Thursday, scored 20 in the first half when the Warriors took control.
