On Wednesday, Bennett channeled his inner pop star on the NFL Network’s Good Morning Football.
“I’m not a downgrade from anyone,” Bennett said. “I’m like Beyonce, let me upgrade you, baby.”
In April, host Peter Schrager questioned the Packers decision to let Jared Cook walk and was unsure if bringing Bennett in would be the right upgrade.
Bennett was not pleased and quickly took to Twitter to voice his displeasure and was confused why Schrager (who he had called Jonah Hill) had this opinion.
The Packers decision to sign Martellus Bennett in March to a three-year, $21 million deal is without a doubt an upgrade.
