I never gave a thought to the idea that the Green Bay Packers should use some of their new salary cap money to sign a big name free agent running back. Never considered it. You don’t pay big money for free agent running backs, right? You draft them in the fifth round. They’re a dime a dozen in the draft, yes?
But then I happened to come upon the following post on X (formerly Twitter) by ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
That got my curiosity up. So I checked on the list of prospective free agent running backs this spring.
