Larry Beightol, Packers offensive line coach for seven years, dead at 81

GREEN BAY – Former Green Bay Packers offensive line coach Larry Beightol died April 4 in Fayetteville, Ark. He was 81.

Beightol died of heart failure, dementia and complications of diabetes, according to his obituary.

Beightol started his NFL career as offensive line coach in 1985 for the Atlanta Falcons. He also coached the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Diego Chargers, where he was offensive coordinator for one year, the New York Jets, Houston Oilers and Miami Dolphins. He ended his career in 2006 with the Detroit Lions.
