Cheese Curds, 6/13: Packers’ Spriggs & Biegel look to stay healthy & earn bigger roles

For two young Green Bay Packers players, the 2017 season was defined by injuries. Jason Spriggs and Vince Biegel both missed the first half of the regular season, as Spriggs suffered an injured kneecap towards the end of training camp and Biegel had foot surgery after his first practice in a Packers uniform.

This year, both players are healthy and are in line for a significant uptick in playing time. Spriggs is the front-runner to start at right tackle with Bryan Bulaga still recovering from a torn ACL, and he used his rehab time to bulk up from his lean (for an offensive lineman) frame.
